The King and Prince, a short while after their weddings, finish what remaining business they have in the capitol and prepare to set out on their honeymoons with their new spouses. In their absence, V-Mon and Biyomon are chosen by Tyronius to serve temporarily as Acting Kings while he is otherwise occupied. They gladly accept the proposition, eager to relive the glory days of yonder when the Holy Beasts ruled this land as its protectors...
Yet... even before the King leaves, there is a strange sensation flourishing around the capitol. Ronpa's stability is higher than ever, and the people once again respect the good King's authority... So then what is this awful feeling that crawls up your spine, with the sharp and skinny little legs of a spider?
Nowhere is this feeling more prominent than Castle Dangan itself. There's a potent aura of uncertainty when the Council finally holds their summer meeting. The royalty, as well as Princess Diana and Queen Vanyara, have not yet returned from their trips. The Holy Beasts regard you all with polite smiles, but both they and Balthazar IV (who was placed under their care) appear quite exhausted.
V-Mon finds it impossible to meet anyone's gaze. Biyomon impatiently taps his foot. Balthazar, belaying his usual rather emptyheaded impression, twists and turns his head to look around the Council chamber. Perhaps he misses his King, but...
You can't shake the feeling that the three of them might be up to something.

Rumors abound from all corners of the Kingdom discuss various nobles and their... interesting deeds.
Queen Vanyara appears to have given up on whatever goal she was pursuing previously. Many note, however, that she has been spending an awful lot of time with her new husband of late...

Ultimate God of Gains Nezaripped's military forces are thriving in spite of the invasions the country has faced. The Prince is useless and the King is off vacationing while Ronpa is in peril. Dormor, at least, will be guarded from these external threats.

Royal Rat Ratsworth III struggles to rebuild his territory after recent attacks left them ravaged, but the dire times have not curbed the rats' generosity! Shogun Zi Hao and Impervious Beargrasshatchway's newly joined territory begins to flourish at once, with the two cultures coming together harmoniously. A(n all things considered) pleasant Spring gives way to an even more pleasant Summer. And with those pleasantries comes everyone's favourite time of year... Tax season! Each noble makes their regular 500 Gold, but the Acting Kings are ordering that taxes be distributed a little differently... (Current standings will be updated to reflect this shortly)
As is custom, each alliance proposes one issue to the Council, with the Acting Kings proposing one affecting the entire Kingdom.
Each Noble gets one vote per issue, with the Holy Beasts giving up their territory's vote in favour of the King's. They can allocate this to any 1 issue of their choice.
In a somewhat regressive turn of events, they also appear to have moved back to the previous voting system. Is there some ulterior motive there?
Here are the current issues up for discussion:
Prisimed Rim - A Very Bad (Mount) Mood
In the midst of discussing Ratburgh’s recent acquisition of gunpowder, a messenger bursts into the council chamber with ghastly news: Mount Mood is on the verge of erupting! The resulting lava flow will cripple Dormor’s already meager farms, ruin some of Nezaripped’s favorite training spots, and if calculations are to be believed, it’s going to completely submerge a settlement for Ratsburgian refugees! Hastily shelving the other issue, the Council redoubles their efforts into preparations to provide the Prismed Rim’s citizens with aid. But how…? [-1 Farming [Dormor]
VOTE - What should be done in the wake of Mount Mood’s eruption?
A) Pray that Blaiddyd will stop the eruption before it even happens
(% chance based on alliance’s Faith x 10)
B) Abandon the farms and evacuate the citizenry, at any cost!
(-2 Farming [Dormor],, all Dormor buildings destroyed, -2 Defiance [Ratsburgh], +1 Stability)
C) Sacrifice the people and protect all that Dormor lays claim to.
(+2 Farming, +1 Trade [Dormor], +1 Defiance [Ratsburgh, Isle of Men, Isle of Samsara])
D) Have the Electrolytes cook up a plan to prevent the eruption.
(% chance based on alliance’s Military x 10, bonus 10% due to Love Suite)
Provincia Smaragdina - The Problem with Pacifism
The unprecedented brutality of the Morvaug Invasion has left the morale of our troops at an all-time low. One particularly pious ex-soldier from Crystalis has hung up the blade, and now roams the land dressed in robes, preaching pacifism to whomever will listen. On its own this wouldn’t be much of an issue, but the sticking point is, people are listening. Far too many of our soldiers are throwing down their arms and following this maniacal monk! They’ve dubbed themselves the “Non-Confrontationalists”, which in the opinion of the Court is a terrible name, and their movement is spreading at an alarming rate. Our most recent report indicates that their heresy is spreading even beyond the borders of Provincia Smaragdina as well. (-2 Military [Provincia], -1 Military [USA, PR]
VOTE - How should the Non-Confrontationalists be confronted?
A) Kill every last one of them.
(+3 Military [Crystalis], +2 Authority, +3 Defiance nationwide)
B) We can use them! Send them over to Petrard in hopes of pacifying their military.
(% chance based on region’s total Faith and Trade x 5)
C) Awful name aside, they’re onto something - Let’s hear them out!
(+2 Stability, -3 Military nationwide)
D) Ignore them. They’ll tire of this and return to Blaiddydism soon enough.
(% chance based on region’s Faith)
United States of Azulongmon - To The Moon?
The Science Geeks of Kalas have been bothering members of the neighboring USA for months now with some new invention of theirs. They call it “WizCoin” and claim it’s the “currency of the future”. It’s apparently formed from some unholy combination of magic and technology. According to them, that means it can’t be regulated, so there won’t be a big bank controlling it all. Their continuous attempts to get the USA to invest in this WizCoin have until now fallen onto the deaf ears of a much too busy Council. Unfortunately, with nothing better to talk about, we should probably decide what to do with them.
VOTE - Invest in WizCoin?
A) Absolutely not.
(+1 Stability, damaged relations with Kalas)
B) ABSOLUTELY!
(% chance based on region’s total Trade and Faith x5)
C) ABSOLUTELY, but we’ll use the Treasury funds instead
(-4000 Treasury, % chance based on Ronpa’s total Authority + Stability x10, +1 very angry King)
D) Sabotage WizCoin instead and pocket the profits
(+800 Gold each Alliance territory, -1 Military, severely damaged relations with Kalas)
Capitol - Digimancipation
Shogun Zi Hao of the newly formed Magi Plains made a rather troubling request of Ambassador G’Ontagon during the joint Royal Wedding. He asked to be given a Morvaugian beast (known in the the local tongue as a “Digimon”) in exchange for no small amount of gold. Concerns were raised as to the ethical implications of this trade given that the monsters bare such strong commonalities to both Balthazar IV and the Holy Beasts. Opinions are divided as to whether this is tantamount to buying a human life, or more akin to purchasing a dog from a breeder. With absolutely zero bias on the behalf of the Acting Kings, the Council now has the daunting task of deciding whether or not monsters count as people.
VOTE - What rights shall the Kingdom award to monsters?
A) Monsters are equal to humans, and Zi Hao should be prosecuted for daring to think otherwise!
(Zi Hao’s votes this season are nullified, Zi Hao’s personal wealth donated to Treasury, +1 Stability, +1 Authority)
B) No rights AND human minds? They’re the best labor force we could ask for!
(+1 Farming nationwide, +1 Trade nationwide, -2 Faith [Monstrome], +2 Defiance [Holy Beasts], -1 Stability)
C) All non-humans deserve the same reverence we give to the Holy Beasts.
(+1 Trade nationwide, territories ruled by non-humans receive double income for the rest of the game)
D) It’s like an adoption fee. Who cares?
(-900 wealth [Magi Plains], +900 wealth [Morwhirl Pridelands], +1 Defiance [Holy Beasts])
Polls will open at 11PM EST and be open for the usual 48 hours.
